Concussion is a film set to be released this Christmas about the sports world disbelief in a serious condition, the concussion. Will Smith will play the role of Dr. Bennet Omalu , a forensic pathologist, who fought the NFL ‘s efforts to cover up his research on brain damage suffered by professional football players. He continued his fight to make everyone aware of the dangers but was continuously ignored.
This controversial film is said to mixed reviews that may lead to some viewers not believe the untold story completely. Of course with any movie one should educate themselves outside of watching the film. However, the death tolls continued to rise and more players suffered emotional damage from reported head injuries. “Concussion likens Big Football to Big Tobacco and suggests an insidious reach into science, government, and the hearts of Americans everywhere,” states the Daily Beast. “It is not clear whether or not the ads will run during “Monday Night Football.”” according to the Huffington Post.
There aren’t any details on whether or not any players in the league currently support the film.
