On December 23rd, Travis Scott and the Cactus Jack Foundation hosted their fifth annual Winter Wonderland theme park and holiday drive at Texas Southern University (TSU). In collaboration with the Webster family’s HBCU alma mater, the Houston Food Bank, and other partners, the event provided holiday cheer and essential support to 1,000 families in Houston.
Empowering Through Education: Waymon Webster Scholarship Program
For the first time, the event incorporated the Cactus Jack Foundation’s Waymon Webster Scholarship Program, which has awarded over $1 million to more than 100 graduating HBCU seniors to date. The scholarship program honors the Webster family’s HBCU legacy and focuses on empowering students to achieve their educational goals.
Community Impact
The event distributed over 2,000 toys and bikes, 1,000 food bags, and 200 Nike Cactus Jack sneakers to local families. Limited-edition merchandise from brands like Fanatics, Houston Astros, and Space Village was also given away. Children enjoyed a Winter Wonderland-themed inflatable park, complete with a giant bounce house and a visit from Santa Claus.
Future Scholars
Attendees had access to sign-up stations for the Waymon Webster Scholarship Program, providing information on how students can apply for HBCU scholarships.
Notable Attendees
The event included appearances by members of the Webster family, TSU Chairman Brandon L. Simmons, City of Houston Controller Chris Hollins, and surprise guests Don Toliver and Serena Page.
